With the approaching of the end of the first phase of the project, we would like to invite you to the final Consortium Meeting taking place on Thursday, November, 14th 2024 from 09:00 – 16:00h at the Fab City Haus (Zippelhaus 5a, 20457 Hamburg). This is our community hub and workspace.
During this meeting, we will review and discuss the results achieved over the past four years of the dtec.bw project Fab City – Decentralized Digital Production for Urban Value Creation. This time, we would also like to use this opportunity to share our results with members of others European Fab Cities and Fab Regions and of the Fab Lab Community.
For better planing, we ask every attendee to register until Monday, October 21th.

Information for different attendees
For practical partners (OpenLab)
We ask every practical partner to delegate one person to the OpenLab Story Panel. Each panelist should be prepared to answer the following 3 questions. The speaking time is limited to max. 5 minutes per panelist (no visual aid):
- What is your lab/workshop all about? What is the vision behind your Lab initiative?
- What have been main challenges in terms of implementation (e.g. outreach, integration of users, funding, space, workshop program) and how did you tackle these challenges?
- If you would have the financial means (unlimited funding) what would you do in/with your lab/workshop in the next 3-5 years?
In your registration, please let us know if you will represent the OpenLab with as panelist.
For research partners (Academia)
We ask every research partner to delegate one person to the Research Partner Presentation. Sequentially, each speaker should answer the following 3 questions in max. 5 minutes using 1 PowerPoint slide per question:
- What has been your main research interest within the project?
- What was the major outcome?
- How do your findings contribute to a more holistic understanding of
- the open-source based circular production model the Fab City approach suggests, and/or
- the dynamics of socio-technical and socio-economic change?
Please use our slide template and send it to us upfront to avoid technical difficulties.
In your registration, please let us know if you will represent the partner at the presentation.
For external guests
Especially for the guests, who have not been to the Zippelhaus before, please note the following:
- We recomend to use public transportation via U1 to Messberg (use Exit Nr. 6) or via Bus 6 to Brandstwiete (see HVV-Website). There are no immediate parking spots available.
- The entrance is located in the backyard and no ringing is necessary to enter the building. We are located on the upmost floor (3 OG).
