PISWI – Self replicating OS spaces

On 28th November 2023 the project partners from the research project “Incubation sites: Self-replicating, open production spaces as innovation incubators in Tunisia” (PISWI) visited and assessed the current status of the OpenLab at the neotex 4.0 center at Pôle de Compétitivité de Monastir EL Fejja (mfcpole) in Monastir, Tunisia.

The partners discussed the knowledge transfer and the next milestones to be reached within the German-Tunisian research project PISWI, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. This project aims to close technological learning, production and innovation gaps through the implementation of OpenLabs to test feasibility and derive policy recommendations for the Tunisian textile sector.

Project manager Mohammad Mohammadifar was happy to see the first steps on the path to the Open Laboratory for Digital Manufacturing in the textile cluster in Monastir.

“Technology and knowledge transfer to others fosters creativity and creates new opportunities and hope for people to shape a better, sustainable future.” said project manager Mohammad Mohammadifar from the New Production Institute at Helmut Schmidt University.
