The consortium meeting “Fab City - Decentralized Digital Production for Urban Value Creation” on 14 November 2024 provided an opportunity to celebrate four years of collaboration, share insights and reflect on what has been achieved.
The Fab City Global Initiative promotes local production through digital fabrication, aiming for sustainable and resilient cities. Since 2019, Hamburg has advanced this vision with events like workshops at Scholz Mechanik, the Klimakongress at TU Hamburg, and the Hamburg Sustainability Conference, all highlighting the role of digital manufacturing in reducing environmental impact and empowering communities.
